The impressive McLaren P1 has been recently caught on camera while arriving in Dubai, in the night time.
Wherever a McLaren P1 arrives, the automotive media is so excited that it has to write all about the “event”, and this is exactly the case here too, where the arrival and unloading of the impressive hybrid supercar in Dubai, in one night, didn’t leave us uninterested. The McLaren P1 is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar and it’s a direct rival for the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. The vehicle has been officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The McLaren P1 is taking its power from a 3.8L twin turbo V8 engine, which is good for 727 HP and 719 Nm of torque, at 7,500 rpm. The unit is backed up by an in-house developed electric motor, which is providing an extra 176 HP and 260 Nm of torque. The total output produced by the assembly stands at 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque, which are being sent to the rear-wheel drive, through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is made in just 2.8 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to “just” 350 km/h (218 mph).
