A new video with the McLaren P1 has recently hit the web and it’s showing the model being driven at low speeds.
The McLaren P1 is the newest supercar in the British based automaker’s lineup and the model is also the very first hybrid production vehicle ever produced by the company. The McLaren P1 is the official successor of the iconic F1, which is rivaling the brand new Ferrari LaFerrari, another hybrid supercar, and the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder, which will be officially presented to the public later on this year, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in its final production form.
McLaren will only produce 375 units of the P1 world wide and out of these, more than half have already found new owners. The McLaren P1 is powered by a 3.8 liter V8 engine, which is producing 747 HP and 720 Nm of torque. The unit is backed up by an electric motor, providing an extra 179 HP and 260 Nm of torque. The total output produced by the hybrid powertrain stands at 916 HP. The McLaren P1 has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, in a world premiere.
