The impressive McLaren P1 has recently lapped the Top Gear test track as the famous British racing driver, Chris Goodwin, acts as the Stig.
The McLaren P1 has been recently taken to Top Gear’s test track where the company’s chief test driver, Chris Goodwin, acted as the Stig. The hybrid supercar hasn’t had the opportunity to set a fast time on the Dunsfold track but our guess is that this will happen in the future Top Gear Season 22. Some say that the P1 will steal the crown from the Pagani Huayra and that Chris Goodwin will be the new Stig.
McLaren has unveiled the P1 back in 2013, during the Geneva Motor Show. This is rivaling Ferrari’s LaFerrari and Porsche’s 918 Spyder. The hybrid supercar has a two-door coupe body style and a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. It’s powered by a 3.8L twin turbo V8 petrol engine rated at 727 HP and 719 Nm of torque, along with an electric motor generating 176 HP and 260 Nm. The total output stands at 903 HP and 978 Nm, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 2.8 seconds and a top speed limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
