The manufacturer of the F1 and the MP4-12C, McLaren, has just released a new promotional video, announcing that it will create a subsidiary for Asia and the Pacific region, promoting its new supercar along with the company’s race history and new technology.
“2011 is a landmark year for McLaren. The new car company comes to life with dedicated McLaren retail partners around the world supplying the first ‘pure’ McLarens that are built in a brand new factory at our UK base. This is an exciting new chapter in our history, and success in the Asia Pacific region is vital to our ambitions. Confirming Peter Lim’s involvement with the company and setting up of McLaren Automotive Asia shows our ambition for the region that is becoming the world’s focus for premium cars”, said Ron Dennis, Executive Chairman at McLaren Automotive and McLaren Group during a press conference.
The automaker has established McLaren Automotive Asia Pte Ltd, based in Singapore, which will be the company’s regional operation center, handling everything from sales to distribution. McLaren will also expand in China too in the near future.
