McLaren has released a new video with the Sports Series in which the two sports care are being shown in various testing environments.
McLaren is living up to its name and after the brand has become more affordable with the introduction of the 540C and 570S, the two models are being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new video, which is showing different prototypes in various testing environments. The clip can be seen below and it can become addictive, especially if you’re a McLaren fan.
The McLaren 570S has been the first addition to the new Sports Series. The vehicle has a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, producing 570 GP (419 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the sports car needs just 3.2 seconds and it can go up to a top speed of 328 km/h (204 mph). Standard items found on it include the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, carbon ceramic brakes and several other goodies. This is competing against the Audi R8 V10 Plus and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
The McLaren 540C is basically identical to the 570S. The vehicle is up to 150 kg lighter than its closest rival, as the company is saying, and it has 1,311 kg. The 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine is producing 540 HP (397 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 7-speed transmission powering the rear-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 3.5 seconds and top speed stands at 320 km/h (199 mph).
