The 2014 Subaru Forester has been recently previewed ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show later on this month.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the 2014 Subaru Forster is getting a unique front fascia, as you can see in the images posted above, a new suspension and 8.7 inches of ground clearance which will be more than useful on tough off-roading and some other upgrades which are unknown for the moment and will be announced at the North American automotive event.
The fourth generation of the Subaru Forster will get a 2.0 liter direct injected turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which will produce a total output of 250 horsepower and it will have a peak torque of 258 lb-ft. The 2.5 liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine, with its 170 HP and 174 lb-ft of torque, might also make its way under the hood of the 2014 Forester. The units will be mated to a new CVT with six- or eight-speed manual modes or to a six-speed manual transmission. Unfortunately no more details on the all-new Subaru Forester are being know for the moment so we will have to wait for the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
