A new spy video with the upcoming Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe has hit the web and it is showing a prototype of the performance two-door model in action on the Ring.
There is no surprise anymore that Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the new C63 AMG, since a lot of spy shots, videos and teaser have hit the web over the past few months, but before this will be ready for its future customers, the carmaker has to make sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should. In order to do this, prototypes of the car are being rigorously tested out and one of them has been spotted recently on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
The clip posted below is showing a camouflaged version of the model going fast on the circuit but if you were hoping to see a naked model, you will be disappointed. The vehicle is going to be officially presented to the public in September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will receive the 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, the same one from the C63 AMG Sedan and the AMG GT sports car. The unit will be producing a total of 469 HP (349 kW) and 648 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), this will need approximately 4 seconds and top speed will be limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The S version will get 503 HP (375 kW) and 698 Nm (516 lb-ft).
