The Nurburgring may have banned lap records for the moment but that isn’t stopping carmakers from testing their new vehicles here.
The newest upcoming model to be spotted around on the famous German track is the coupe version of the new C63 AMG generation, which can be seen in the clip posted below. The model in question is wearing some camouflage on its body too but this isn’t stopping us from seeing the sloping roofline and the two-door body style. Expect a more aggressive design than the one of the four-door sedan as this has the tough job of competing with one praised ride, the BMW M4 Coupe.
The new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe will get some modifications to the front and rear fascias too, along with an updated and sportier cabin. The vehicle is expected to give birth to a new range-topping model too, the so-called Black Series, but this hasn’t been confirmed at this point. The C63 AMG Coupe is believed to be officially presented to the public at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September, and to make use of the same engine found on the C63 AMG. This means that the 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo, also used on the AMG GT sports car, will be found under its hood, rated at 476 HP (350 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque in the C63 AMG and 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque in the C63 AMG S.
