Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz just launched officially the hotly anticipated Mercedes-AMG GT and we already know that some of us will be able to “experience” the car ahead of the 2015 sales launch.
That’s because the German automaker collaborated with the exclusive Sony Playstation 4 game Driveclub to digitally release the car as a free DLC ahead of the actual sales start of the model, scheduled in the first part of 2015. Sony has already announced that the new Driveclub title will become available in North America on October 7, in Europe the next day and UK on October 10.
“We’re delighted that Mercedes-Benz is so strongly represented in DRIVECLUB. This proves the brand’s attraction and importance, because only the world’s most exciting and prestigious sports cars are selected by the game developers,” comments Dr. Jens Thiemer, Mercedes-Benz Marketing and Communications chief.
The German automaker has had a deep collaboration with Evolution Studios, with the game gurus able to replicate the real car in astonishing detail. And, because just one car might not be enough for the world’s gamers, Mercedes also introduced in the Driveclub roster models such as the A 45 AMG, CLA 45 AMG, C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series, SL 65 AMG and SLS AMG Coupe Black Series.
