Mercedes-AMG has released a new video in which the development of the 4.0 liter V8 engine is being highlighted.

The clip posted below is highlighting the development of the impressive unit and this is being shown on a test bench, with the carmaker subjecting it to extreme conditions.
Some of its key attributes are also being placed into the spotlights as well and the clip is also showing us the Finding Room, where the unit is being dissembled after the testing has been performed in order to check for some unusual signs of tear and wear. The 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine has made its debut on the newest sports car signed by the three-pointed star, the AMG GT. Since then, it has been also introduced on the AMG C63 and it is going to make its way under the hood of the upcoming E63 AMG as well. In the AMG GT, the unit is being offered, in its range-topping version, with 503 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and to go up to a top speed of 310 km/h (190 mph).
