Mercedes-Benz has recently released the very first promotional video with the brand new A45 AMG, showing the hot hatch in action on a deserted road.
The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is officially the world’s most powerful hot hatch and it’s the first car to take the “hot hatch” term to a whole new level. The model has been officially unveiled just hours ago for the first time, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next month. The A45 AMG is coming with the Aerodynamic Package, the Exclusive Package, the Night Package, the AMG Performance suspension system, the AMG exhaust system and much more.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) at 6,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), available between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm, mated to an AMG Speed Shift DCT seven-speed sports transmission sending power to the all-wheel drive system. The hot hatch can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds before reaching its electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The A45 AMG will arrive in dealerships across the Old Continent in July.
