The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently released the first promotional video with the all-new A45 AMG, ahead of its public debut in Geneva next month.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is the most powerful hot hatch in the world and the model is sharing the same engine as the upcoming CLA45 AMG, along with the same architecture. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is getting the Exclusive Package, the Aerodynamic Package, the Night Package, the AMG exhaust system, the AMG Performance suspension system and much more. The A45 AMG will be officially presented to the public for the first time on the 5th of March, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Power to Mercedes-Benz’s new hot hatch is being provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), available between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm. The unit is mated to an AMG Speed Shift DCT seven-speed sports transmission, which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system, allowing the hot hatch to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.6 seconds. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will arrive in European dealerships in mid-July.
