Mercedes-Benz has taken the upcoming AMG GT to the famous German track, the Nurburgring, once again, as the sports car has been caught on the camera while it was being tested out.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has left the production line recently in order to make room to its replacement, the AMG GT, but this will become a rival to models such as the Porsche 911. This basically means that the sports car will be smaller, lighter, cheaper and less powerful than the SLS AMG and it should attract a new array of customers to the brand.
The German based automaker has created the new AMG GT with a looks inspired from the SLS AMG but the gullwing doors have been dropped for regular ones. The cabin will be coming with carbon fiber trim, with leather upholstery, a flat bottomed three-spoke steering wheel with aluminum inserts and more. Power will be provided by a twin-turbo new V8 engine, which will develop around 500 HP. A top of the line Black Series version is expected to be introduced too. The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will be making its public debut this October, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
