The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has released a new video with the recently unveiled AMG GT, in which its engine is being detailed.
After being officially unveiled just a week ago, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is popping into our news once again, this time with the help of a new video, which is detailing its engine. The new unit found under the hood of the performance coupe will underpin the next generation of the C63 AMG and also the next generation of the E63 AMG, and they will be followed by the S63 AMG too and also by the GLK63 AMG and also the G-Class.
The engine is coming in a 4.0 liter displacement and it is a V8 producing a total output of 462 HP (339 kW) and a peak torque of 600 Nm (442 lb-ft), in the standard version, in the AMG GT. If this is not enough for you, than you can always order the AMG GT S, with its 510 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. The last one can help the model accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph).
