Mercedes-Benz has released a new teaser video with the upcoming AMG GT which is showing the model’s prototypes in action in several environments across the Old Continent.
Sports car fanatics out there and Mercedes fans can’t wait for the brand new AMG GT to hit the market, but until that will happen, the company still has to officially pull the wraps off its body, an action which will take place on the 9th of September, but the official public debut of the model in question will be made one month later, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in October.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will replace the SLS AMG but it will be less powerful, smaller and cheaper than the supercar. Power will be provided by the newly unveiled 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 503 HP at 6,250 rpm and it has a peak torque of 479 lb-ft, available between 1,750 and 4,750 rpm. The company is rumored to introduce, later on, a top of the line Black Series variant, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. More details on the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT are limited for the moment and will be announced on the 9th of September.
