The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has officially released a new teaser video with the upcoming AMG GT.
Mercedes-Benz will be introducing a new supercar, the so-called AMG GT, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in October, but since the development is currently in progress, the carmaker isn’t letting us forget the new ride. The model in question will be replacing the current SLS AMG and rather than being more powerful and larger, the vehicle will be lighter, less powerful and also cheaper, as it will be competing with supercars such as the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Lamborghini Huracan or the McLaren 650S.
The new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is said to come with a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, which will be producing a total output of 510 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, in the base version. This will come with a dual-clutch transmission, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). The mid-range will probably get 550 HP or even 600 HP and the top of the line will be the Black Series. More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
