Mercedes-Benz has released the first teaser video with the much awaited AMG GT, which will be officially unveiled this fall.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is being placed into the spotlights in an official way with the help of its first teaser video. The company says that the new sports car will be officially unveiled this fall, which basically means during the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
“This is what you get when a company unleashes its creative and engineering forces to combine the absolute best of all it has done into a single, monumental, unwavering engineering achievement”, as the carmaker is “explaining”.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will replace the current SLS AMG, but it will be significantly smaller than the supercar, lighter, less powerful and, of course, cheaper, becoming a direct rival for models such as the Porsche 911. The AMG GT is believed to use a 4.0 liter V8 engine, in the entry-level version, with approximately 480 HP (358 kW), while in the mid-range this will produce 520 HP (387 kW). In the top of the line Black Series, the AMG GT will come with up to 580 HP (432 kW). The SLS AMG has a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, rated at 563 HP in the entry-level version and at 622 HP in the Black Series.
