A new version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the C-Class Coupe, is the subject of a video.
Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off its rival for the BMW 4-Series Coupe, the C-Class Coupe, but before that will happen, the German based automaker is making sure that everything is in its right place and working like it should. The clip posted below is showing a prototype of the vehicle cruising the streets with its camouflaged body but even if it looks production-ready, the model in question is still a few months away, as it is believed to be introduced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.
The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will be the third body style added to the range which currently includes the sedan and the estate. The sleeker looking vehicle will be riding on the same MRA platform as its two brothers and it will be getting the same turbocharged gasoline and diesel burners under its hood. The C450 AMG Sport version will also be introduced on this variant, with its 367 HP (270 kW) and 517 Nm (382 lb-ft) of torque from the 3.0 liter twin turbo V6. The range-topping C63 AMG Coupe will be getting the 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo, offered in two stages of tune, the C63 AMG Coupe and the C63 S AMG Coupe. In the base version, this will be producing 476 HP (350 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, while in the other variant, it will be good for 510 HP (375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.
