Mercedes-Benz has released a first teaser video of the brand new GLA 45 AMG Concept, ahead of its official unveil scheduled for Thursday, the 21st of November.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce a new top of the line version of the GLA crossover, and as the model in question is based on the new A-Class generation, just like the CLA, and the A-Class already has an A45 AMG version, as well as the CLA having the CLA45 AMG, the company has decided that such a variant may be just what the doctor ordered for the new crossover.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG will receive an aggressive exterior design, prominent air intakes, a single bar grille, a comical rear wing, some high performance brakes, a set of black alloy wheels, body side graphics, red accents, the Turbo AMG badging and some other tweaks, which should make it more appealing than the standard versions.
As far as the engine goes, the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG will come with the same unit from the A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG, the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which is producing a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The unit will be mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual clutch transmission, which will send its power to the all-wheel drive system.
