The brand new Mercedes-Benz GLA and the GLA45 AMG have been officially tested out by the guys at Auto Express, as some voices are saying that this is closer to the A-Class than the GLK.
Officially unveiled back in 2013, the new Mercedes-Benz GLA, along with its high performance version, the GLA45 AMG, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with a test drive, conducted by Auto Express. Some people say that the new GLA is more like a tall A-Class than a crossover, but you can find the answer to that question in the video posted below.
Besides testing the regular GLA, Auto Express has also went for a spin in the GLA45 AMG, its performance version. This is packing the same engine under its hood as the A45 AMG or the CLA45 AMG, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged. The unit is good for 360 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission, sending power to the all-wheel drive system (4MATIC). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.8 seconds and top speed stands at 250 km/h (155 mph).
