Even if you’re strict and German-like – especially if you’re actually German – nobody says you can’t have a little bit of fun now and then, especially since this is the merriest month of the year.
This is exactly the case with Mercedes-Benz which has decided to team once again with Mario – the German carmaker (the third biggest in the world in the luxury segment) has developed a special edition course for Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker video game. It has been named the Mercedes-Benz Event Course, with the iconic Mario reaching out to a Mercedes dealership and having the GLA taken out for a spin – we were also cheering up for the autobahn section and the recreation of Mercedes’ iconic three-pointed star in the retro-inspired bricks. The company also said the level has reserved some surprises to the classic video game character – one of them has been titled “ParkHaus Madne$$.”
When players successfully navigate the treacherous level, the Mercedes GLA will be available in the collection of “Mario-Costumes” inside the game. “It’s great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others,” commented Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. The automaker also created a special promo video with the Mario character and the GLA 45 AMG – which should be enough for the level dangers thanks to its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine churning out 375 hp (279 kW) that enable a 0-60 mph time of just 4.3 seconds.
