The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently released the first official video with the brand new GLA, in which the model is being shown in action, on the road.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz GLA is actually a taller and more muscular version of the new A-Class generation. The crossover is coming with a tailgate mounted spoiler, larger alloy wheels roof rails, dual exhaust setup and an almost identical cabin to the one found on the new A-Class. The GLA is 4,417 mm long, 1,804 mm wide and 1,494 mm tall, with a 421-liter cargo space which can increase to 836-liter with the rear seats folded.
Mercedes-Benz says that the engine lineup in the brand new GLA will include the 156 HP (115 kW) 1.6 liter in the GLA 200, the 211 HP (155 kW) 2.0 liter in the GLA 250, the 2.2 liter diesel with 136 HP and 300 Nm of torque in the GLA 200 CDI and the GLA 220 CDI with its 2.2 liter 170 HP engine. The top of the line GLA 45 AMG will receive the same 2.0 liter turbo unit from the A45 AMG and the CLA45 AMG. More details on the new GLA crossover will be announced next month, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
