Mercedes-Benz has tested the upcoming GLA once again on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is already known to develop a rival for models like the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3 and the premium crossover is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time thanks to a new video, which is showing it lapping the Nurburgring. The model in question has a taxi sign mounted on its roof and this probably means that the company will sell it as a commercial vehicle too.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLA is based on the A-Class and it will be officially presented to the public in September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. the model will have a 1.8 liter diesel engine under its hood, with 134 HP (100 kW) and 300 Nm of torque (221 lb-ft), a 2.1 liter diesel with 168 HP (125 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), a 1.6 liter petrol with 120 HP (90 kW) and 154 HP (115 kW) and a 2.0 liter petrol with 207 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm of torque. The same engine from the A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG will also be used on a GLA45 AMG version.
