Another spy video is showing us a fresh prototype of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
After officially pulling the wraps off the brand new Mercedes-Benz GLC, just a few weeks back, the official successor of the old GLK is getting ready to receive yet another body style. This will be called the GLC Coupe and it will come with a sportier design, being aimed mostly towards the BMW X4. The clip posted below is showing us nothing more than a simple prototype of the new midsized crossover signed by the three pointed star caught in the real world.
The camouflage on the whole rear end and on the front fascia is hiding the sloping roofline, some changes made to its front fascia and some modifications performed at the rear, amongst others. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will be based on the GLC and it will take inspiration from the concept shown in Auto Shanghai. The engine options are expected to be borrowed from the regular model and this will also add a range-topping AMG version, in the shape of an AMG 63. The 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine found on the AMG GT and on the C63 AMG will be used for this variant, but expect it at a later time. Chances are we will see the brand new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, as this will be opening its gates this October. Additional details on it are limited at this time.
