The brand new Mercedes-Benz GLC has been caught on camera recently while it was being tested out, on the track.
Mercedes-Benz will be renaming most of its models and one of them will be called the GLC. This is basically the current GLK which will go through some significant changes for the 2016 model year. The crossover will receive a new generation and since testing has begun a few months back, chances are we will see it, in its final production form, in the first half of 2015.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC will be rivaling, just as the current one, with the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5, coming in with a familiar design which will make it instantly recognizable. A much sportier appearance will help it stand out from a crowd and its overall design will be sportier, with a more sloped roofline, which indicates that it might rival the X4 and the Macan too.
As far as the engine lineup goes, some of the current units will be carried over but not before being updated. The range topping version will be the GLC 63 AMG and this is believed to pack the same engine as the one in the AMG GT, the 4.0 liter V8. More details on the new Mercedes-Benz GLC are limited at this time.
