[VIDEO] Mercedes-Benz is showing us how the AMG Vision Gran Turismo was born
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has released a new video with the impressive AMG Vision Gran Turismo, in which the company is showing us how the model was born.
Officially unveiled just a month ago, and then brought to the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, where it made its world debut, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing a new video with the model, in which its creation process is being highlighted. Check out the video posted below and think whether this car should have hit the production line or not.
The new Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept has been specially created for the PlayStation 3’s Gran Turismo 6 and it has been inspired by some classic models, including the 300 SL or the W196. Power to the 1,384 kg (3,053 lbs) vehicle is being provided by an AMG V8 engine, mounted at the front, which is producing a total output of 577 HP (430 kW) and 799 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is sending power to the wheels through a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT sports transmission.
The upcoming BMW X6M, codenamed F16 is expected to debut this summer - but until then the impressive crossover was spied while testing at Nurburgring.
