Mercedes-Benz has released the first two videos with the recently unveiled S-Class Cabrio.

After being officially introduced a few hours ago, the brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio is ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of a couple of videos, released by the German based automaker. The model in question is identical to its solid roof version, except for the rear end which has been modified in order to host the retractable soft top. This is a 3-layer acoustic soft top available in beige, black, dark red or dark blue finishes and it can open and close in approximately 20 seconds, at speeds up to 60 km/h (37 mph).

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio has the THERMOTRONIC intelligent climate control system which can keep the occupants comfortable regardless of the weather conditions and with the roof opened or closed. This has two climate zones and three climate styles, diffuse, medium or focused, and the AIRSCARF neck heating system is also available. The drop-top luxury cruiser is 5,027 mm long, 1,899 mm wide and 1,417 mm tall, making use of a 4.7 liter twin turbo V8 engine, in the entry-level S500 Cabrio. This has 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The S63 AMG and S63 AMG 4MATIC Cabrio are getting a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8, rated at 585 HP (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h, the model needs 3.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
