The brand new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe has been recently caught on camera while being tested in Germany, near the famous Nurburgring track.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to pull the plug on the outgoing CL63 AMG in order to make room for the brand new S63 AMG Coupe. The model in question is no longer a surprise for anyone as its development has been the subject to many rumors over the past few months. The new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe is based on the new S-Class generation and it’s taking some of the styling of the newly unveiled S-Class Coupe Concept, at the IAA in Frankfurt, last months.
The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe has been described as “similar to the concept”, along with the rest of the S-Class Coupe lineup, and the model is believed to get the same 5.5 liter V8 engine, powering the sedan’s new generation. The unit is producing a total output of 585 HP (436 kW) and it has a peak torque of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint should be done in approximately 4 seconds and top speed is expected to be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
