The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive has been recently taken for a lap around the Ascari race track in Malaga, Spain, and what came up can be seen in the video posted below.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has pulled the wraps off the SLS AMG Electric Drive during the 2012 Paris Motor Show but now the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing a video with the “green” supercar going around the Ascari race track, in Malaga, Spain. The SLS AMG Electric Drive will go on sale for 416,500 euros on its local auto market next year.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive is coming with four synchronous electric motors, each of them powering a wheel, and the total output developed is 740 HP (551 kW) and 999 Nm of torque (738 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is done in just 3.9 seconds and the supercar can reach a top speed of 249 km/h (155 mph). Two independent transmissions have been fitted to the model that provide direct drive to each axle and the AMG Torque Dynamics system is able to provide selective drive to individual wheels depending on the type of traction available, in three different modes: comfort, sport and sport plus.
