The old battle between two of the best performance midsize sedans the automotive industry has to offer has been taken to the new generation.
Do you happen to be on the lookout for a new BMW M3 or for a Mercedes C63 AMG S and you don’t know what to choose? Well, perhaps the video put together by EVO will answer most of your questions because the two vehicles are going head to head, revealing the weaknesses and their strong spots.
The 2016 BMW M3 has received some minor updates. The vehicle is carrying a 3.0 liter six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine under its hood, which is capable of putting down a total of 425 HP between 5,500 rpm and 7,300 rpm and it has a peak torque of 550 Nm, available between 1,850 rpm and 5,500 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the M3 needs just a little over 4 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), but it can be raised to 280 km/h (174 mph) with the M Driver’s Package. The C63 AMG on the other hand is coming with a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, the same one used on the AMG GT. This is offered in two outputs, 476 HP (350 kW) & 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque and 510 HP (375 kW) & 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, in the AMG GT S.
