Mercedes-Benz has surprised us a bit here because the footage of a prototype 2017 E Class coupe seen here depicts the model wearing full body camouflage.
We recently got used to the company making our day when the E Class executive sedan was on numerous occasions spotted almost wearing no disguise at all (or the sort of camo that ladies wear at the beach on a hot day). Now the latest spy footage with the preliminary testing procedures for the next generation E Class coupe depict the model wearing that mind-boggling camo pattern. We’re expecting the model to come forward officially sometimes next year, so closer to the launch date Mercedes might again opt for something lighter and again make our day. With the all-new E Class Sedan (W213) now out in the open, Mercedes is delivering the programmed variants – first off should be the versatile and practical station wagon (S213), which should be presented sometimes this year – and afterwards our spy actor, E Class Coupe (C238).
Under the full body armor looks like we’re going to be treated to a sleek design and the styling is expected to follow the cues of the C Class coupe. Performance customers will have to await a bit longer for the AMG version that is tipped to reach dealerships another year after the standard model is introduced. The version is expected to have under the hood a modified version of the biturbo V8 4.0-liter engine that should come with as much as 580 horsepower in the “S” variant.
