The first unit of the Mercedes-Maybach S400 has been recently spotted while it was being tested out, on the streets of Stuttgart, in Germany.
We all know that Daimler has resurrected the Maybach name with the Mercedes-Maybach S600, which has been officially unveiled just a few weeks back, during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, and then brought to China at the Guangzhou Motor Show too, but the first spy video with its entry-level version, the S400, has recently hit the web. The clip in question is revealing the rear end of the luxury cruiser as it has been spotted recently on the streets of Stuttgart.
The upcoming Mercedes-Maybach S400 will become available only with a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and under its hood we will find a 3.0 liter V6 engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. Another version of the model, the S500, will be added too, as this will come with 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, from a 4.7 liter V8, while the current S600 has a 6.0L V12 twin turbo petrol, with 530 HP (390 kW) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft).
