The head-of-state looking Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman has been caught once more in the wild cruising the streets of its home country where it’s absolutely clear it will dwarf all other road participants.
We’re actually having a second look at the model we reported about back before the end of last year and we’re probably looking at a final prototype undergoing testing as deliveries should commence in the near future – those high-end customers are probably eager to brag about their new Rolls-Royce rivaling limousines. While the model in itself has been introduced about a year ago, we don’t have the exact pricing details for the flagship of all flagships in the Mercedes roster. We do know the expectations for the most over the top version – featuring armor and all the bells and whistles – are for a price of about one million dollars.
The Pullman version is going to dwarf all regular models out there – it’s even 41.4 inches (1053 mm) longer than a “standard” Mercedes-Maybach S Class, with a wheelbase of 174 inches (4418 mm). You can see that in real life as the model stands next to a fourth-gen VW Golf at the stop light. Under the hood of the flagship sits the massive biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine delivering 523 horsepower (390 kW) and 612 pound-feet (830 Nm) of torque. We’re not even asking about performance figures as Daimler only mentions it’s the “ultimate in exclusivity and luxury.”
