Motor Trend has recently taken the Ford Focus ST for a quick spin on the road and on the track trying to find out if the hot hatch really does have what it needs.
In case you are interested in a C-segment hot hatch and you are considering adding the new Ford Focus ST into your garage, than you have come to the right place because the guys from Motor Trend have recently taken a spin into such a car. The review of the model can be found below and the only thing which is worth mentioning is that the American magazine believes that this is the best front-wheel drive car money can buy these days in the United States.
The new Ford Focus ST is slotted below the recently unveiled Focus RS and it is bringing features such as the tweaked electronic power-assisted steering, the electronic vehicle control, the anti-roll bars, the rear springs, stiffer suspension system with front lower control arm and rear spring links and several other goodies which can turn it into a real competitor for other hot hatches in the C-segment. The most important part of the car is found under its hood where the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine can be found. The total output produced by the assembly stands at 247 HP (184 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque with overboost, which are sent to the front-wheel drive through the 6-speed manual transmission. The Focus ST will eat 7.3L / 100 km of fuel.
