The German based automaker BMW has decided to release a new commercial of its M5 F10 where the powerful sedan is being promoted for the United Kingdom auto market.
The new generation of the BMW M5 is powered by the 4.4 liter V8 engine, equipped with the M TwinPower Turbo package that includes the Twin Scroll Twin Turbo, direct petrol injection and VALVETRONIC fully variable valve control, which is developing a total output of 560 horsepower between 6.000 and 7.000 rpm and has a peak torque of 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) available from 1.500 rpm. BMW says that the 2012 M5 can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds, while the 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) is being done in 13.0 seconds. Top speed of the new generation of the M5 is electronically limited to 155 mph or 250 km/h, but when fitted with the M Driver’s Package, the sedan can accelerate to 190 mph (305 km/h).
In terms of fuel efficiency, the new generation of the BMW M5 can offer a fuel economy of 28.5 mpg with a 232 g/km CO2 emissions level. The V8 engine under its hood is being mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic and shift paddles and the power is being sent to the rear wheels.
In standard equipment, the 2012 BMW M5 comes with Head-Up Display, Surround View, Lande Departure Warning System, Lane Change Warning System, Night Vision with pedestrian recognition, High-Beam Assistant, Adaptive Xenon Headlights, gurney-style rear spoiler and 19 inch M light-alloy wheels.
