Video: New BMW M5 on track at Laguna Seca; US Debut

Soon US customers will be able to get the new M5. However, the sporty M5 will not be available Stateside before 2012, but BMW has released a new promotional video that takes us for a ride around the Laguna track.

While the driver is taking it easy, the clip provides the usual glamour shots as well as the sound of a roaring engine.

The F10 M5 is of course BMW’s fifth generation of the M5 and newest M car to make it to market. The new engine cranks out 552 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
The saloon can reach 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, which can be lifted to 190 mph with the aid of the optional M Driver’s package that costs 2,450.00 EUR.
