The Japanese based automaker Honda has recently released the first teaser image with the brand new Civic Type R, which is believed to make its public debut next year.
After it was caught on camera by our spy photographers a couple of times over the past few days, the brand new Honda Civic Type R is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of an official video, released by the carmaker. As you have probably already figured it out, the footage posted below isn’t showing anything interesting and we don’t even get to see how the engine from the hot hatch sounds.
The 2015 Honda Civic Type R is believed to be unveiled sometimes next year. The model will rival models like the Renault Megane RS, the Ford Focus, the Opel Astra OPC and many more. Power to the new Japanese C-segment hot hatch is expected to be provided by a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, which should produce a total output of 300 HP (224 kW). This is rumored to become the fastest FWD car on the Nurburgring, a record currently held by the Megane RS Trophy (8m 7.97s). More details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
