Kia has recently released a new promotional video with its first ever hot hatch, the Pro_Cee’d GT, where the model is being shown in action on the road.
The Kia Pro_Cee’d GT is the hot hatch version of the new Pro_Cee’d generation and the model in question has been officially presented to the public just earlier this year, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. The Kia Pro_Cee’d GT may be less powerful than its main rivals, like the Renault Megane RS, the Opel Astra OPC, the Volkswagen Golf GTI, the Ford Focus ST and so on but its price is also significantly cheaper and this should play a main role in its sales figures.
The South Korean hot hatch has been fitted with an aggressive body kit, which is highlighted by the revised front grille, the new front and rear bumpers, the 18-inch alloy wheels and so on. The cabin of the model is getting Recaro seats. The most important features of the Kia Pro_Cee’d GT is found under its hood, where the 1.6 liter GDi turbo engine is resting. The unit is producing a total output of 204 HP (150 kW) and it has a peak torque of 265 Nm (195 lb-ft). Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7.7 seconds and top speed stands at 230 km/h.
