The 2014 Maserati Quattroporte isn’t available for the public just yet but the model has been given over to some journalists, including to the ones at Auto Week, who have taken the new four-door coupe model for a spin. The new generation of the Maserati Quattroporte will get two Ferrari sourced V6 and V8 engine, and some of them, in different configurations, will be used on future Alfa Romeo models.
The all-new Maserati Quattroporte is coming with a 3.0 liter V6 engine under its hood for the entry-level version, which is producing a total output of 410 HP. This is enough to allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 5 seconds and reach a top speed of 285 km/h. the top of the line Maserati Quattroporte will get a 3.8 liter V8 with double supercharging and direct injection, which is able to produce 530 HP and 670 Nm of torque, but thanks to the overboost, the torque figure can go up to 720 Nm. This version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 4.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 307 km/h. More details on the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will be announced in Detroit, next year, where the model will make its public debut.
