The German based automaker Porsche has recently released a video presentation for the brand new 911 RSR, which is paying tribute to its “ancestors”.
After it was officially unveiled just a few months ago the new Porsche 911 RSR is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing a new video presentation for the model. The 2014 Porsche 911 RSR is based on the seventh generation of the regular 911 and it’s coming with carbon fiber components like the rear wing, doors and dashboard. The battery is a lithium-ion, the windows are made from poly carbonate and the weight is kept down.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Porsche 911 RSR is powered by a 4.0 liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which is producing a total output of 460 HP (338 kW), mated to a six-speed sequential transmission, with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Porsche says that the two units of the 2014 911 RSR will be driven by Timo Bernhard, Patrick Pilet, Joerg Bergmeister, Richard Lietz, Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb.
