The French based automaker Renault has recently released a new teaser video which is offering us a first preview into an upcoming racecar, which will be unveiled close to the end of August.
Renault is still playing hard to get and after teasing the Megane RS 275 Trophy-R just a few months ago, only to unveil it suddenly and then announce that this is the fastest front-wheel drive production car to lap the Ring, time has come for the company to focus around a brand new model, which will be developed by Renaultsport and which is currently being teased in the video posted below.
The model in question will probably be named the Renaultsport R.S. 01, judging by the teaser clip, and it will be basically a racing car with an aggressive design, a large rear wheel, LED strip taillights, a dual exhaust system standing close to the middle of the car and some other tweaks which will make it instantly recognizable. Chances are that this vehicle will be powered by a Nismo engine, which will be producing more than 500 HP (373 kW), being connected to the 7-speed sequential transmission. More details on the new Renaultsport racing car are limited for the moment and will be announced on the 27th of August, when it will be officially unveiled.
