Land Rover has recently released a teaser video with the brand new 2014 Range Rover Sport, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 New York Auto Show, on the 26th of March.
The new generation of the Range Rover Sport has already been spied quite a few times over these past few months while being tested in almost every environment possible, from the northern European countries in cold weather to the United States in hot weather, in the Mojave Desert. But now, the brand new Range Rover Sport is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing the first teaser video of the model.
The 2014 Range Rover Sport will lose approximately 300 kg (660 lbs) from its weight, thanks to the use of the aluminum chassis of the new Range Rover. The model will get a sloping roof line, new taillights and a tailgate mounted spoiler, amongst others. As for the engine lineup, the 2014 Range Rover Sport is likely to use the same 3.0 liter V6 diesel unit from the new Range Rover, which is coming with 255 HP (190 kW), the 4.4 liter V8 diesel with 335 HP (250 kW) and the 5.0 liter V8 petrol generating 375 HP (280 kW), along with a supercharged V8 with 504 HP (376 kW).
