Being officially presented at this autumn’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the new generation of the Suzuki Swift Sport is already available for its future customers and the Japanese automaker has released a commercial video of the popular hatch.
Suzuki says that its new Swift Sport takes its power from the 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine which is delivering 135 horsepower at 6.900 rpm and 160 Nm of torque or 118 lb-ft at 4.400 rpm, connected to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Japanese automaker is bragging with the new Swift Sport’s fuel consumption which is down at 6.4 liters per 100 kilometers in an average cycle, while the CO2 emissions are sitting at 147 g/km.
With the first generation presented back in 2006 and the new one hitting the Geneva Motor Show in concept form, the 2012 Swift Sport has a stiffer suspension and more aggressive stance while it’s wearing a large set of 17 inch wheels.
If you have been expecting a funny new commercial for the Swift Sport you’re in for a big surprise because Suzuki has chosen to advertise its popular hatchback in a serious, classic way.
