The future generation of the Audi R8 has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested out on the famous German track, the Nurburgring.
Audi R8 fans have been wondering what’s happening to the next generation of the supercar ever since its platform brother, the Lamborghini Huracan, the replacement of the popular Gallardo, has been officially introduced, back in February. Have no worry as the German based automaker is currently working on the replacement of the Audi R8, as you can see in the video posted below. The clip is showing the supercar driven fast on the “Green Hell”, and this is a good opportunity to see it in action for the first time.
Keep in mind that the 2015 Audi R8 seen below is just a test mule and the final production version of the model may turn out to be quite different. One thing is for sure, it will be riding on the same platform as the new Lamborghini Huracan and it will get a similar technology under its completely new body. As far as the engine goes, the new Audi R8 might use the same 5.2 liter V10 with 602 HP found on the Huracan. Chances are that the carmaker will unveil the new model this October, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
