The next generation of the BMW 7-Series has been recently spied on the famous German track, the Nurburgring, where it was being tested out.
The German based automaker BMW is currently working on a next generation of the 7-Series but the flagship sedan has a tough job of becoming at least as good as its main rival, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The model in question is currently being tested out as the company is making sure that everything is in its right place and working just like it should and, despite its massive body style, it should be quite sporty.
The future generation of the BMW 7-Series will come with an evolutionary design and it will be getting some carbon fiber and aluminum materials in its construction to keep its weight down. The top of the line version, the M770i xDrive is believed to gain a 4.0 liter turbo V8 engine, which should develop approximately 475 HP (354 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. BMW will not be developing a true M7 but a plug-in hybrid will eventually hit the market. The 2015 BMW 7-Series is believed to be unveiled by the end of this year, probably during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in October.
