The next generation of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been caught on camera recently while being tested out on the open road.
In case you have been wondering what is up with the next generation of the popular Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the answer would be “not much”, because the vehicle is still being tested out by the German based automaker, as you can see in the video posted below. The particular model is wearing a lot of camouflage on its body so if you are hoping to spot some interesting lines, you will be disappointed. However, once the blinker goes on, you can see a similarity between this and the new S-Class generation and this is telling us something about its styling design.
Let’s not forget the new C-Class generation too, which also looks like a smaller S-Class, so expect the model which will stand between them to get a similar stance. Rumors on the new E-Class getting the autonomous driving technology might become real but we will just have to wait and see if it will be introduced with it. Meanwhile, the model should pack a new range of straight six-cylinder engines, with the first one being a 2.9L twin turbo with 313 HP (233 kW) and the range should begin with a 1.6L diesel four-cylinder unit with 122 HP (91 kW). The new E-Class generation will be offered in the sedan, wagon, long wheelbase, coupe and cabrio body styles and it will also give birth to a new CLS four-door coupe and a CLS Shooting Brake.
