The future generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI has been recently spied on the Nurburgring where the German hot hatch is currently being tested before hitting the market next year.
Even if Volkswagen is currently developing the convertible version of the Volkswagen Golf GTI in its sixth generation, the MK7 is getting ready for its future customers and the model has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested on the famous German track, the Nurburgring. The seventh generation of the Volkswagen Golf is expected to continue the aesthetics started with the MK5 and MK6, and the GTI version will stand out of the crowd with red accent trims, alloy wheel designs and a more aggressive overall look.
The next generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI will be made on the new MQB platform, the same one which is used for the 2013 Audi A3 which was officially revealed back in March, this year, during the Geneva Motor Show. The Volkswagen Golf GTI MK7 is rumored to get a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which will develop a total output of 260 BHP. The future VW Golf GTI will be officially presented to the public in September, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
