The 2013 Buick Encore has been recently rated with an overall four stars, after being crash tested by the NHTSA.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the front-drive and the all-wheel drive versions of the 2013 Buick Encore have received five stars in the frontal and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash tests. The AWD model had a 17.9 percent chance risk of a rollover while the FWD version had a 19.8 percent risk. Both of these are translated into a four-star rollover score. The Encore has been also named an IIHS Top Safety Pick, along with the rest of the Buick lineup.
As a quick reminder, the 2013 Buick Encore is available for order, across the United States, from 2012. Prices for the model have been set at 24,950 USD, including the 750 USD destination charge. The standard version is coming with seven-inch display, rearview camera, QuietTuning with Bose Active Noise Cancellation, full-color display with IntelliLink connectivity and 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. All versions of the Encore are powered by a 1.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is good for 140 HP and 148 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
