[VIDEO] Nissan IDx Nismo arrives at Jay Leno’s Garage
One of the most famous petrol heads out there, Jay Leno, has recently had the opportunity to check out, up close, the impressive Nissan IDx Nismo Concept.
After it was officially presented to the public back in 2013, during the Tokyo Motor Show, the Nissan IDx Nismo Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of Jay Leno, who has recently had the chance to check it out up close. The famous petrol head has compared it to the popular Datsun 510, from the 1970s, and what actually came out of all that talk can be seen in the video posted below, which is part of Jay Leno’s Garage.
Jay Leno gets to have a chat with Giovanni Arroba, the Nissan creative design manager, who is walking Leno through some of the vehicle’s design elements, starting with the BRE-style graphics and going through the front airdam, the roof rails, the fenders and ending with the carbon fiber rear end. In the Nismo trim, the IDx Concept is using a 1.6 liter turbocharged gasoline engine, but it’s not currently known what Nissan will be using on the final production version of the car. The IDx will be aimed towards customers born after the 1990s.
