While the Consumer Electronics Show, now the first automotive event of the year, is in full swing, automakers area also preparing for the North American International Auto Show, which is just around the corner.
The automaker has dropped this short and quirky future mobility animated teaser – there’s talk about strength for protection, purity to warrant attention and tradition as a bridge to the future. While this is seemingly random speak, we can imagine this being part of the series of the automaker’s Nissan Intelligent Mobility campaign, well mostly because the slogan is seen at the end of the promo. The automaker also mentions this is just the first of three teasers that will arrive before the actual reveal of the concept in front of the worldwide audience of the upcoming North American International Auto Show, taking place in Detroit.
Nissan Intelligent Mobility is of course the business name for the automaker’s technologies for current and future products – and has to do with future mobility, like autonomous, connected and eco. The company in October at the Tokyo Motor Show delivered the IMx Concept, an electric crossover with a fully autonomous driving mode and a 373 miles range coming from the all-electric powertrain. We already have big hints it will become a series-produced model, but we’re not so sure the production variant will arrive in Detroit.
